eCatalog to Save the EnvironmentThis is a featured page

Nowadays people are more aware of the global climate change that is taking place around us. So an increasing number of people are beginning to understand their impact on the environment, and are doing the needful to reduce their carbon footprint.

There are many ways that we can help save the environment. First of all, we can reduce the consumption of certain products that harm the environment, either during their production process or through the way that they’re used. For instance, the excessive use of fossil fuels around the world increases our carbon footprint to dangerous levels. Another natural resource that several people take for granted is fresh water. They feel that it’s normal to use and more problematically waste as much as they’d like since it’s just water. It is high time that we value this precious gift of nature.

Another crucial step is to reduce the consumption of plastic since it is non-degradable. Paper is another product that is used in huge quantities everyday. Take an account of your paper consumption; you will be surprised to see how much paper you waste on a daily basis.

Excessive paper use is directly linked to deforestation; the more paper we use the more trees are cut down, yet people don't see the obvious connection. Every year, the catalog industry sends out over 20 billion paper catalogs in the US. Millions of tons of trees are cut down every year to meet this insane demand for paper. We know that paper is bio-degradable, but that does not mean that we should throw it away after using it. Thanks to advancements in technology, most of the paper we use everyday can be recycled for repeated use. It is true that there are areas of the world where up to fifty percent of the paper used is being recycled. And it is good to know that other regions are catching up. But most of those paper catalogs have no recycled content. They are thrown away, sometime without being read, and end up in landfills which are growing by the day.

Thankfully, flip catalog technology has stepped in to curb this insane waste of paper. Flip catalog allows one to create something similar to a paper catalog but without actually using any paper.

Anything that would usually be printed on paper can be converted into a digital version, be it a magazine or a book, promotional brochures or product catalogs. The benefits of digital publishing are quite significant when compared to traditional print media. The first being the reduction in cost of paper and printing. Also, there is no need to spend on posting the catalog to your customers; they can view it online 24x7. So, by using flash catalog, you are not only saving paper and trees, you are bound to save loads of money as well.
